My Nails

These are my nails that I did for Halloween. BUT they didn't turn out very Halloween. I had did red because I thought Red, Blood, Halloween, but after I added the glitter they looked more Christmas and Wizard of Oz shoes than Halloween. lol

Giveaway Alert!

KONADomania is having a 100 followers contest.. You can win:

Contest ends November 20th!

Swatch of Fifth Avenue & My Nails

Here is a swatch that I did of Fifth Avenue by NYC.

I really like this color. It is a great fall color, has shimmer to it and I think it looks great with my skin tone. The only bad thing about it was that I had to apply 2 heavy coats to cover all of my nail, and you can see the brush strokes. You can't in the picture but in real life you can see the brush strokes from the brush. But I still love this color and will use it many more times this Fall.

And here is my mani that I did using Black and a Silver Glitter Art Deco polish.

i think that this is my favorite nail design that I have done. I think that it looks very Fall and also very elegant and will go with a lot of outfits.

Thanks for stopping by and looking. :)

Nail Design

Here is a picture of my nails that I did Sunday. I got the idea for them from this YouTube video. It was really simple to do and they turned out great. Here is my end result:

The colors I used are:
Blue Me Away by Sally Hansen, you can see my review for that here.
Black by Wet n Wild

Tools: A dotting tool.

I know that I said that I would be posting my swatches today. I actually had put them on fake nails and the color really didn't come out for a lot of them. So I am going to be doing 1 or 2 swatches a week for the new polishes that I got instead of showing you on the fake nails. I think it will look better as well since you can see it against my skin color. So I will have my first swatch up tomorrow from my haul.

Review: Blue Me Away & Giveaway Details

I am first going to start off with sharing a new polish that I got. It is Blue Me Away by Sally Hansen. Please read until the end, giveaway details will be towards the end of this post.
Here is a picture of Blue Me Away on my nails:

Sorry about the blur, it is really overcast here today and I couldn't get a better shot. But this is an Xtreme nail polish by Sally Hansen and I don;t know if I will buy anymore like this. This polish was so thick that it was hard to get an even coat, on a couple of my nails the coat isn't even and you can see a bump on my nail. It also took a really long time to dry and it still has a jelly like consistancy and I painted my nails at 9 this morning. I love the color, just not the actual polish.

On to my giveaway. I was going to hold a giveaway this weekend but I only have 8 followers and would really like more people to know about my blog before I hold a giveaway for everyone. SO here are the details, if you do them it will gain you extra entries when I hold my giveaway!

Details:
-I will have my first giveaway at 50 followers.
-Pass this around, twitter, blog post, anywhere you want as long as you come back and leave a link. This will gain you 5 extra entries into the giveaway. Just let everyone know that at 50 followers I will be having a giveaway. (This is for EACH one that you do.. Twitter would be +5 a blog post would be +5 and however else you advertise this.)
-Gain 2 extra entries by commenting on this post and telling me what you would want to win, polish, hand cream, nail clippers, whatever.. :)

My Collection (1)

I have seen a lot of people post on their nail collections. I wanted to share mine. Even though it's small-I just really started getting into my nails a little over a week ago- I wanted to post this before I went shopping Saturday, I know that I will be picking up some more polishes and I have a few things coming in the mail.
So here is my small collection:

On the left and in the front are tubes of glitter that I have. A shimmer with a lot of different colors in it, Red, Blue, Silver, and Purple. Then next to these are my N.Y.C Top Coat, Nail Forteifer. And then my Avon nail strengthener. Next to that is Black from Wet n Wild. Then a red, burgundy color from L.A. Colors. I have to say that even though L.A. colors is a cheap brand-I love anything cheap-I don't think I will buy L.A. Colors again, you have to apply so many coats to get a good shade that it's not worth it to me. Wet n Wild is basically the same price and it is a lot better. Next to this is a White by N.Y.C, A Pink by N.Y.C and a Light Pink color from N.Y.C.

So this is my collection right now. More to come this weekend. :)
